Step 1) Ethical value and principles
There are different types of ethical value and principle. Each value is derived from the different types of theories. Some of them are given below.
Moral courage refers to action which taken for reasons or adverse consequences. It refers to take actions when one has doubts or fears about the consequences. Therefore, moral courage includes deliberation or careful thought. This value is based upon the consequentialism. In which it stated that ethical principles makes decision should be focus on actions that are fair to those involved (Kennedy and Kray, 2014). Courage is also involved standing against evil is more important than defeating it. It also involves to take all the rights decisions against the all odds.
This ethical value is related to the integrity. This ethical theory suggested that person should have the strong moral principles and ethical standards. As per this theory, a person should be honest towards their actions. Honesty should be maintained require a lot of moral courage. In this they also have to live ethical principles despite grate pressure to do otherwise. As per this theory a business executive should also have to be ethical in terms of their words, actions and thought (Skela-SaviÄ and Kiger, 2015). Individual actions is also needed to be honest as according to their words.
The fairness includes do not exercise power to someone other. This value is based upon the principles of justice. It is also described as the moral obligation to act on the basis of fair adjudication between competing claims. The term fairness is also associated with respect people's rights and respect them morally. Fairness is also related to treat people equally. It is the best policy which need to accept by the organization so they can treat people equally (Taylor and Yang, 2015). It is also related to give fair treatment to everyone in every circumstances.
The term modesty refers to the judge people from their character rather than by an action. It is based on the principles of virtue. It is basically based persona's morals, reputations and motivations into account when rating an unusual and irregular behavior. Modesty also refers to individual morals and ethics which they need to be perform in organization. It is ethical value which emphasized on the judge a person on the basis on their behavioral and character rather than thinking about their actions.
It is refers to the capacity of tolerate delay. Problems and suffering without annoyed or anxious. It is ethics value which focuses on that a person should keep patience in their work. Itv also includes that a person should keep patience in their work and provide enough opportunities to their subordinates (Kennedy and Kray, 2014). When a task is performed in the group then other member should keep patience so individual can performed their tasks easily.
Step 2) Reflection
By conducting the group activities I gained that ethical value is very important. From this five ethical value I learned value and principles through which I become able to understand the different types of the ethics value and their principles. I gained knowledge regrading to the five different types of ethics such as courage, honesty, fairness, modesty and patience. The first ethical principles which I derived is courage which is associated with the ethical theory consequentialism which is mainly focuses on to take the right actions towards the unethical practices which are taken place in the group. Next, ethical value which I learned from the group interaction is honesty. It is mainly based on principle of integrity. In this l learned that an individual should always be honest with their work. It is also includes that a person should be honest towards their actions. From the group interaction I learned that a person should always to be honest with its action and words. The next ethical vale which I learned is that fairness. In which a person should think that do not exercise power to someone other. This value is based upon the principles of justice. This ethical value is associated with to provide equal chance to every one and treat people equally. The next value of ethics which I learned from the group interaction is Modesty. This vale is based on the principle of virtue in which they judge a individual on the basis on then character rather than their actions. In this I learned that an individual should be judge on their character. The last ethical value which I learned that is patience which meas that tolerate someone their actions.
