They expanded its operations in the north-east of England, Scotland, and north Wales and Northern Ireland. Sainsbury saw its fall in profits in 1992 with the change in top management. The new management did not match with the corporate beliefs of the earlier leaders. Their quest between quality and value results in huge criticism from suppliers and consumers.
